“The Chronicle of the White Lady” by former churchwarde Jan Bräuner

Come and hear an exciting
presentation when former churchwarden of the Monastery Church, Jan Bräuner
tells “The Chronicle of the White Lady”.

The Church  of Horsens visits the
Middle Ages. In the monastery garden, you can find peace and quiet for
contemplation. You can learn about how people in the Middle Ages experienced
God in nature and in all things. You can place your prayers in the deep well.
There will also be activities for children throughout the day. While you rest
your legs, you can listen to talks on “To hell and back – a Journey into
Dante’s Universe,” and “Over Hill and Dale – Church Building in the
Middle Ages.” In the church, you will have the opportunity to light
candles as they did in the medieval Catholic church, write your own prayers,
and meet priests who will talk about medieval Catholic customs, candle
lighting, why prayers were written, and much more.

In the church square, you can experience how the square was a bustling
trade center in the Middle Ages. You can buy letter of indulgence and make
your own amulet and hear discussions about the role of the church in the
Middle Ages.
