Fýri the band

Fýri
conveys and brings history from the 800s to the 1500s to life with stories,
costumes, powerful singing voices, and atmospheric tones from old
instruments. Together with the audience, we sing ballads from Denmark,
Sweden, and Spain. Captivating tales of kings, heroes, tragedies, comedies,
and folklore are shared in a historical context that spans from the Viking
Age to the early Renaissance. Experience everything from old Scandinavian
melodies to oriental-sounding medieval music from Southern Europe. Fýri plays
on transverse wooden flutes, recorders, chalumeau, violin, nyckelharpa,
rebec, mandola, and percussion. Come, sing, and dance with us and experience
