The Church of Horsens visits the Middle Ages

Visit
the Monastery Garden and the Medieval Church and meet monks, nuns, and real
priests when Folkekirken visits the Middle Ages. In the Monastery Garden, you
can find peace and quiet for reflection. You can hear about how people in the
Middle Ages experienced God in nature and in all things. You can place your
prayers in the deep well. There will also be activities for children
throughout the day. While resting your feet, you can listen to talks on the
Monastery Stage.

In the Church, there will be opportunities to light candles, as was done in
the Middle Ages in the Catholic Church, write your own prayers, and meet
priests who tell stories about medieval Catholic customs, candle lighting,
why people wrote prayers, and much more.

At the church square, you can experience how the square was a lively
trading center in the Middle Ages. In the monastery garden, you can see and
smell some of the herbs and medicinal plants used in the Middle Ages and hear
about their effects and uses.
There is room for play and games in the garden for children, and you can
make your own little cross to protect you on your further journey through the
Middle Ages, and try your hand at embroidery.
